Delivery   &  Returns


Standard Delivery

The standard UK delivery 3-6 working days charge is £5.95 and orders over £100 will be delivered free of charge. 

Providing your items are in stock, we will aim to deliver your order within 6 working days. Please note – during our sale and peak periods you should allow up to 7-10 days. Saturdays, Sundays and all Bank Holidays are classed as non-working days. 

Where possible, we will endeavour to send all of your order together, however any items that are out of stock will be sent as soon as possible. Please note – you will only be charged one delivery charge per order. If any order is out of stock, we will notify you and advise of the anticipated delivery date. 

All delivery dates are estimates and we cannot guarantee specific deadlines. Saturdays, Sundays and all Bank Holidays are classed as non-working days. Whilst we will use our best efforts to meet all orders we cannot guarantee the availability of any particular products displayed on this website. 

We reserve the right to discontinue the offer of any product listed on the website at any time without notice.

Click & Collect

We are now offering Click & Collect from our Cheltenham store only. Simply place your order through our website and select 'Pick Up' at the checkout. Orders will be processed within 24 hours (Monday - Friday) and available to collect the next working day. You will receive an email notification when your order is ready to collect. 

To help us maintain a safe service, we ask that you do not visit the store until you receive confirmation that your order is ready to collect. Orders can be collected between the following times:

Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm 

Saturday 10am - 2pm 

Please note, we are currently unable to offer collection on Sundays. Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be processed on Monday.

Please bring your order confirmation email and a valid form of ID to collect your order. On arrival at the store, please call 01242 584404  and a member of the team will bring your order to you at the front of the store to ensure safe social distancing.

Overseas Delivery

We ship to the UK only. 

We may be able to post items outside of the UK on a special request basis. Please contact us to discuss posting overseas.

Tracking Your Parcel

If you have an email address registered with us you will receive an email to confirm that your items have been despatched.

Vinegar Hill cannot be held responsible for any third party involvement where delays occur to deliveries. If you are concerned you have not received your parcel, please contact us via email at or call our Customer Services Team on 01242 584404 (Weekdays 9am – 5pm).


Returns Policy for Online Orders

In the unlikely event that a parcel arrives damaged or faulty or you wish to return it, you must contact us within 14 days of receiving the parcel by email at 

Please note, all items need to be returned within 28 days, of receipt of your order, starting the day after you received it. Ensure that they are complete and in an unused and new condition. We reserve the right to refuse a return on items deemed not to be resaleable or returned after the deadline..

Earrings and other similar items are non-returnable for hygiene reasons. 

Personalised/made-to-order products may not be returned unless faulty.

Food items are non-returnable unless faulty.

Gift wrapping, if paid for, will not be included in the refund.

Where possible, we would ask that you return the item(s) with the original packaging. This does not affect your statutory rights.

With the exception of faulty or misdescribed items, Vinegar Hill are not responsible for return postage, or the costs associated with this.

Once you have contacted us, please ensure that you include the Returns Slip, and we would recommend that you obtain a Certificate of Posting, in case the parcel fails to reach us for any reason.

Large unwanted items will need to be collected by one of our couriers (the cost for this will be deducted from your refund, with the exception of faulty items) – please call 01242 584404 during office hours and our Customer Service team will be able to advise you.

Cancellation Procedure

You may cancel an order at any time before it has been processed for shipping. 

To cancel your order after it has been despatched to you, please follow the Returns procedure, stated above.

We will be happy to exchange or refund full price lifestyle items returned in original purchase condition with a valid receipt within 28 days of purchase. 

We will be happy to exchange or refund full price clothing and footwear items returned in original purchase condition with a valid receipt within 14 days of purchase. 

Please note, for lifestyle Sale items (marked with * on your receipt) we will be happy to offer an exchange only within 14 days of purchase. 

For clothing and footwear Sale items (marked with * on your receipt) we will be happy to offer an exchange only within 7 days of purchase. 

Earrings are non-returnable for hygiene reasons.

This policy excludes Gift Vouchers. 

This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
