This Swallow silhouette design, from A Blackbird Sang, features lines from Emily Dickinson’s 1862 poem ‘Hope Is The Thing With Feathers’. Which was written as an extended metaphor, transforming hope into a bird that is ever present in the human soul. It sings, especially when times get tough.
